As part of the 2001 Hong Kong Sevens, the Hong Kong Rugby Footfall Union (HKRFU) is launching a travelling rugby road show that will visit some shopping malls in and around Hong Kong. They aim to broaden the public's interest in Hong Kong and attract local HK Chinese spectators, as traditionally this event has been much more popular with expats in Hong Kong or tourists from western countries. The road show will have mini rugby demonstrations, interactive games for children, competitions, a lucky draw, photo exhibits and exciting rugby tournament footage. There will also be appearances by rugby players from teams including Hong Kong, New Zealand and Fiji but details have yet to be announced.
