Pedder Building
map

A pretty building in the middle of curtain-walled monsters, here is home to Blanc de Chine and Shanghai Tang, among a host of direct imports stores for international labels as well as export garments of higher caliber. Other specialty stores carry cashmere, silks, jewelry, embroidery (with some items cheaper than Li Yuen Street !) For a break in the 6-storeys of shopping, there is China Tee Club on the first floor.

Beside the building, A little passage is filled with several Small booths. They repair shoes, change batteries for watches and sell rubber stamps all with very reasonable price. They all look very old and give you a very different feeling as compare with other modern buildings in Central.

Love European designs but having limited budget? You can't miss Pedder Building

Pedder Building used to have offices of British trading companies long time ago. Now they all become factory outlets and Italian / French designer shops. Because of the competition, you must find some good bargain in this building. If you are smart and lucky enough, you may find some lady clothes with similar designs as the one in Landmark across the street. But definitely they are much cheaper.

Li Yuen Streets East & West

Two short parallel lanes connecting Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road, they are lined with permanent stalls and hawker carts in addition to the regular shops offering similar goods as in the classic Women's Street in Mongkok.

One can hunt for bargains down here for things such as: socks, toys, Lycra pants, alarm clocks, embroidery, shoes, handbags, undergarments, export garments, scarves and hair accessories. Li Yuen West also has some fabric stores.

Bargaining is a must in free markets like this one, especially when more than one item is bought.
